EPC planner
Get every rental to EPC C before 2030
The government plans to raise the minimum energy rating for rented homes from E to C by 1 October 2030. The planner shows which of your properties are below it, and turns each one into a plan with a target date, a budget and a reminder.
On every plan. It's a proposal and could change: we update it when it does.
Below C
- Rated EFlat 3, 8 Mill Lane No plan yet
- Rated D14 Elm Road Loft insulation by Sep 2027, about £650
Already C or better
- Rated B22 Park Avenue
The proposal, in numbers
From the government's response published 21 January 2026. The EPC rules explained
What it does
Your whole portfolio, sorted
Properties below C, those with no rating on record, and those already fine, on one page.
A plan for each
A target date, an estimated cost and the works and quotes, kept with the property.
Reminded in time
Your target date becomes a reminder on your dashboard, in your emails and in your calendar.
Prompted where it matters
Properties below C are flagged on your dashboard and on each property's page until there's a plan.
Rule changes, told
If the proposal changes, landlords with affected properties get an alert, not a newsletter.
Works with your EPCs
Ratings come from the EPCs you've recorded, with their expiry dates tracked too.
Questions landlords ask
Is EPC C by 2030 confirmed?
Not yet. It's the government's proposal, set out in its response published 21 January 2026, and could change before it becomes law. The planner uses the proposal so you can plan ahead, and we update it if it changes.
What if my property can't reach C?
Under the proposal, if you've spent £10,000 on improvements and still can't reach C, you'd be able to register an exemption.
Is the EPC planner on every plan?
Yes. It's part of staying compliant, so it's on Tracker and Pro.
